A sculptural ring inspired by the quiet explosion of a star.
The form radiates outward from a central point, echoing the moment a star releases its energy into space. Movement and stillness coexist in the structure, creating a balance between expansion and calm.
Each ring is first hand-carved in wax and cast in Aki Ishihara’s studio on Quadra Island. Through this slow, traditional process, the piece evolves gradually until its final form emerges. Subtle variations are part of the work’s character, making every ring slightly unique.

These pieces are made from high quality .925 sterling silver. They are made to use every day and to last more than a lifetime. Some wear and tear will likely occur with use. It is natural for silver to acquire a patina over time and to accumulate a history of marks and scratches building character that will tell a story unique to you.
Silver will maintain a polished look if it is worn and handled every day, buffed by your skin and by the fabrics and materials that you surround yourself with. If you will be storing jewelry for an extended period of time it is recommended to keep in an air tight container to minimize oxidation. If you would like to add a little lustre a silver polishing cloth or other silver polishing compounds are recommended.
